Happy To you

28th September, 2009 -- Mummus 2nd birthday
I sing: "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Mummu, Happy Birthday to you "

Mummu sings: "Happy to you, Happy to you, Happy to you, Happy to you"

I say: Happy Birthday my Mummu

She says: Happy to you (with loads of smiles)

This was in preparation for her 2nd birthday (which was on 28th Sept) so that she doesn't get shocked or stay immune when friends and family wish her or sing for her...

We had a very small celebration with just family and friends and their kids. In all there were just 5 kids, 3 boys and 2 gals, including Mummu. I guess these are the years when the parents can get away without throwing a BBBBBIIIIIGGGGGG birthday party for the baby. The good part was Mummu got along WELL with all the kids, especially the boys she was ordering them to push her bicycle while she held the handle and smiled at me and Su and waived a couple of times with excitement :) Oh btw the Barbie Bicycle is her b'day gift which our friends gifted her and she adores it. she is so possessive that she refuses to let anyone ride it...Material(istic) girl.
Me and Mum got her a lovely red dress, well actually it fits her like a gown now.

The way she picked up the sides of the dress and walked into the room, she looked like a princess, the ONLY thing missing was the tiara.

My 2 year old princess, Happy to you.

I have multiple sessions of winamp open, one which was playing a video when mummu was 5 months old and the other session had a video in which mummu was 8 months...and there was another session playing in my head...mummu now at 16 months...
5 month old mummu lying on her bed sucking her 2 fingers and making q q q q sound (know what i mean???)
Yet another video of mummu at 5 months...where she is this roli poli n mum's massaging her (as is the custom back home) and calling her bumble bee :)
another video playing now where she is making all these hooting sounds and toggling between laughing and crying...
Then the other session...8 months old mummu sitting in her bath tub...playing in the water....trying to pull things within her hands reach...the bucket the mugs...everything...
The session in my head....this 16 month gal saying no no no when I start putting cap for her...walking towards the TV when a dancing number comes on the TV or when there are these cute cartoon things that appear on TV...this gal who keeps pulling all the drawers and all the dusters and clothes off the clothes line...dances with one hand in the air...hugs out of the blues...says mumma very cutely...knocks...and so many more things...time flies...it really does...time flew for me...
But thank God for technology I have some frozen time frames now...
