Papa mere Papa

Chiku sings: "Chanda ne pucha Kaaro se, Kaaro ne pucha haajaro se"
I interrupt: "Chiku, its not Kaaro, its Taaro"
Chiku continues: " Taaro se, Kaaro ne pucha hajaaro se"
I sigh.
She makes a cup of her palms and swings her arm from left to right, and continues :
"sab se pyaara kaooooon hai ??"
I smile and think how cute, doesn't matter if its Taaro or Kaaro :)
She taps her left foot couple of times and says : " Papa mere papa"
She continues “Papa bina kaon choconanet naayega, Mummy bina kaon aaori sunayega”
She puts her hand to the forehead, twitches her eyebrows “kabhi na na na majvur karna mummy daddy se na humme na dur karna”

Lords Promise

Every monsoon I yearn to see the rainbow or rainbows. I haven't seen rainbowS except in pics. Looking at the rainbow makes me happy and light, mainly cause, like the Bible says its the Lord's promise to NOT end the world with a deluge.
Yesterday, on my way back home from work, it was drizzling light showers and I was sort of exhausted due to the traffic jams and was cursing myself for not carrying umbrella. As I stepped out of the rickshaw to walk homewards, I saw this young gal posing her camera-phone skywards. I looked at her and then looked at the sky. Lo behold, there was this beautiful sight waiting to be captured. I saw 2 beautiful massive (as in complete) Rainbows like 2 concentric circles. Beautiful, thy promise, my Lord.
